Pastor Harry J. Monroe began serving at Brookdale Presbyterian Church in October 2025. He previously was the organizing pastor of a church plant in Bryan, Texas.

Originally from Indiana, Pastor Monroe holds a B.A. in History and in Speech Communications from Western Kentucky University and an M.Div. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. After serving Baptist churches for seven years, he spent more than 20 years working in regulatory affairs and state government relations in the health care industry.

Now a Presbyterian pastor, he enjoys teaching the Bible both from the pulpit and with individuals. When not working, he often can be found with a book or indulging his love for baseball.

Harry is married to Lanette, who just completed a PhD. No children remain at home, though their dog Dantes and cat Gimli dominate their time.

Sue believes she has the best job in the church. Working with children/youth and sharing the gospel of Jesus has always been Sue’s desire. She attended Eastern University in St. David’s PA and graduated with a teaching degree. Sue has served for “many” years at Brookdale Church and loves working with all the families in the church and neighborhood. Sue is married to David and the mother of Matthew and Sarah.

Dave began attending Brookdale as a teenager in 1984. He returned with his wive Sue (Youth/Children’s Ministry) after college. He serves as an Elder and has a passion for discipleship.

Ron and his wife Beth joined Brookdale in 1994 and raised four children (John, Jeff, Brett and Gwen) in the church. Ron was ordained as an Elder in 2004. Ron and Beth enjoy spending time at their lake house at Lake Viking.

Donna and her husband moved to St. Joseph in 2021. Having no connections in the area, they quickly found Brookdale and their friends and family. Donna serves as an elder, helping in various ways but focusing on communications. She also serves as a group leader for Bible Study Fellowship.

Sharon has lived in St. Joe all of her life. She began attending Brookdale because of a need for more biblical teaching. She works with SALT and is a small group leader. Sharon is also a hospice volunteer.
